A cornerstone of the Bloomington Community Bike Project is providing a space for anyone to learn basic bicycle maintenance. A bike will only carry you so far before you’ll need some repair skills, and we want you prepared when you get there. Flat tires, brake pad replacements, chain cleaning, and derailleur adjustments are just a few of the routine fixes you’ll need to keep your dream bike from becoming a nightmare. Afraid you’re not handy enough with a wrench to handle it alone?  No worries. The Project provides all the tools and knowledge you’ll need to learn the basics.

In keeping with this goal, we’ve provided this collection of helpful videos and images that outline bicycle anatomy and some routine maintenance procedures you’ll need to perform on your bike.
